April – Day 19

Continue seeking Him with seriousness. Unless he wanted you, you would not be wanting Him. – C.S. Lewis

New Testament

  • Mark 7:24-37
  • 1 Corinthians 12:14-31

Old Testament

  • Psalms 89:1-18
  • Judges 16

Exclusivity should not even be in a Christian’s vocabulary, Jesus came for everyone. I love this picture of Jesus’ compassion as he ministers to this Greek woman’s daughter. Our lives should reflect an eagerness to tell everyone what Jesus has done for us.

There are so many humorous analogies we can make regarding how the body of Christ is to work together. It grieves me, and I believe the Lord, that the American church is so fractured and focused on doing their own thing, building their own empires, at the neglect of representing our Lord to a fallen and broken world. Truly when one member suffers, we all suffer.

Samson didn’t lose his strength because of his hair, he lost his strength because he allowed his heart to wander from the Lord. See what happens when, even in his desperate state, He asks for the Lord’s strength one last time.

There is a more excellent way, love!

Father, with our mouths we will make known your faithfulness to the generations. The heavens and the earth are yours, and all that is in them. May our lives reflect this truth in a manner that others want to know you. Direct us this day Oh Lord. In Jesus name…amen.
